Blinko is a language-learning app. This policy explains what personal data Blinko collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have. "Blinko", "we" and "us" mean Jody Jamin, an individual developer based in the United States, who is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Contact: privacy@jodyjamin.com.

Blinko has no advertising, no ad trackers and no third-party analytics, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Because we don't track you, we have nothing to change in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal, and treat every visitor as if it were on.

Why we use it

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising. We use these service providers, which process data only on our instructions:

International transfers

Blinko's servers and providers are in the United States. If you use Blinko from elsewhere, including the EU, UK or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US. Where the law requires, those transfers rely on the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

When you delete your account we delete your account, library, study history and generation records, and revoke Sign in with Apple access. Apple keeps its own records of your purchases.

Your rights and choices

Children

Blinko is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as salted hashes, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
